How To Collect Jumeirah One Points?
Jumeirah One points can be collected via several different hotel groups where you spend money, which is part of this program these hotels include Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, Zabeel House by Jumeirah The Greens, Jumeirah Living LLC,
How Many Points Per Dollar Do I Earn?
You will earn 2 Jumeirah One points per dollar spent at these participating hotels, and based on your tier status within the program, you will earn additional bonus points.
Silver members will earn an additional 25% bonus points,
Gold members will earn additional 50% bonus points,
Platinum members will earn 100% bonus points.
How Do I Get To The Next Tier Level?
When you join and sign up for the program, you then imminently become a “member tier”
For you to get to the next tier and become a silver member you will need to earn 5,000 tier points (or spend $2,500).
To become a gold member you will need to earn a whopping 30,000 tier points (or spend $15,000)
To reach the platinum membership you will need to earn a HUGE 90,000 tier points (or spend $45,000)
Suffice it to say that if you want to reach the top level you will need to spend a whole lot of money, so clearly being a silver member is the sweet spot here, and having said that you cannot buy these membership levels either, so you’ll have to book and stay in these hotels for you to reach top levels.
What Happens Every 12 Months?
A membership year is defined as 12 months, meaning that every 12 months your membership resets to zero, and this is where it gets complicated and quite frankly very annoying and one of the worst programs out there.
Let’s take an example if you are currently a silver member and have spent $14,999 just to get to the gold level, and then you hit that 12 months, your membership resets to zero, which means that you’ve wasted your time and money trying to get to the next level, this is a huge negative in the program, which is why you can now see why silver status might be the sweet spot.
What Are The Benefits For Silver, Gold & Platinum Members?
Let’s now take a closer look to see those benefits and maybe you could decide for yourself if it’s worth chasing status with Jumeirah One.
Silver Members benefits.
25% bonus on base points
10% restaurant discount
Welcome amenity
Free breakfast
2 pm late checkout
The clear winner here is having silver status, as this comes with a free breakfast and a 10% discount.
Gold members benefits.

Fee silver status to gift to a friend
4 pm late checkout
Welcome amenity
Free breakfast
10% restaurant discount

Again paying such a high high price just to get a 4 pm late check out for example isn’t justified under any circumstances.
Platinum member benefits.
100% bonus base points
Free gold status to gift a friend
4 pm late checkout
9 am early check-in
Welcome amenity

Conclusion
It doesn’t take a genius at work to figure out that for me to get a 15% discount in a restaurant I’ll need to first spend $45,000 is a good deal, or get a free ride to the airport, I think that the Jumeirah program will need a massive relaunch, one that attracts people to come and stay there and spend that kind of money even though that they want to brand themselves as a high-end quality hotel chain, everything has a limit.
