This morning, DansDeals announced that El Al has started installing new privacy screens for its seatback entertainment system. These screens will be added to all Dreamliner aircraft over the next two months. The system, designed by El Al, has received FAA approval, ensuring its safety for use on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

With the new privacy screens, you will no longer have to worry about your kids viewing mature-rated content playing on someone else’s seatback entertainment system. The privacy screen is designed so your neighbouring seatmate won’t see your screen even if you’re sitting in economy.

El Al has implemented parental controls in its entertainment systems, ensuring parents don’t worry about inappropriate content their children see. Additionally, adults can enjoy a more private viewing experience without being distracted by what those around them are watching.

The privacy screens are effective at night, allowing you to rest peacefully even if your seatmate uses the system. While these screens are less effective during the day, they still provide privacy.

Moreover, the airline includes prayer directions and times in its seatback entertainment system and offers iPads loaded with Artscroll content upon request from a flight attendant. To enhance the travel experience, the bathrooms are also equipped with ritual washing cups!

El Al might be facing increased competition in the US-Israel market as we approach the Ides of March, but there’s a lot to admire about the airline’s trajectory since the Rozenberg family took over during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The introduction of privacy screens on ElAl Dreamliner is a fantastic enhancement! How do you feel about these new privacy screens on El Al flights? Are there any additional upgrades you’d like to see from the airline?
