British Airways.
This has excellent Avios earning potential, and Avios Hotels has more than 300,000 properties available to book.
To be eligible for the offer, you must use a card, so you can’t earn the extra Avios if you are booking a redemption stay. The stay-by date isn’t precise, but from the wording on the promotion title, it appears to run throughout 2025.

Conditions
Please note the following booking conditions:
- Third-party bookings: Status benefits from IHG, Marriott, etc., typically not granted
- Payment: Must be made directly online
- Avios payment: Not worthwhile as it doesn’t earn additional Avios
- Avios credit: Issued within 31 days after the stay
- Booking period: Until February 24, 2025
- Travel period: Immediately until December 31, 2025
- Avios calculation: Based on hotel price, including taxes and fees (excluding resort fees, city tax, etc., paid directly at the hotel)
- Cancellation fees: £35 plus any hotel cancellation fees (see red info box above)
Virgin.
Virgin Red and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club have launched a promotion for customers to boost their points balance with a bonus offer of up to 70% when buying or gifting Virgin Points. The promotion runs from February 5 to March 7 2025
The bonus structure is as follows:
- 5,000 – 24,000 points → 20% Bonus
- 25,000 – 69,000 points → 40% Bonus
- 70,000 – 124,000 points → 60% Bonus
- 125,000 – 200,000 points → 70% Bonus
Virgin Points are available for purchase in increments of 1,000, and Virgin Red has recently increased the annual purchase limit to 200,000 points. When you take advantage of the bonus, purchasing the full 200,000 points would give you 340,000 Virgin Points. This amount is sufficient for a three-night stay at Sir Richard Branson’s alpine retreat, The Lodge, with some points remaining.
