What’s the Vibe?
Jumeirah One is small but flashy. It doesn’t compete on size, but it plays in a very different league if you’re chasing skyline views, lavish spas, and free Evian from the minibar.
You’ll mostly find Jumeirah properties in the Middle East and Europe, with a few outposts in Asia. Dubai is the centre of gravity here – and they’re not shy about it. Think Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and Al Naseem, all sparkling with seven-star swagger.
Just don’t expect Hyatt-style global reach. This niche programme is designed for those who already love the brand.
How Do You Earn Points?
You earn:
- 2 Jumeirah One Points per $1
- 2 Tier Points per $1
Earnings apply to:
- Room rate
- Dining, spa, and in-hotel extras
- Up to three rooms per night under your name
No points on taxes, fees, or external bookings – naturally.
Status Tiers: What Do You Get?
Tier | Qualification (USD Spend or Tier Points) | Bonus Points |
---|---|---|
Silver | Free to join | +25% (2.5 pts/$1) |
Gold | $15,000 or 30,000 Tier Points | +50% (3 pts/$1) |
Platinum | $45,000 or 90,000 Tier Points | +100% (4 pts/$1) |
Status is earned on a rolling 12-month basis, not a calendar year, and resets if you don’t requalify. Missed the threshold by $1? Sorry. You’re back to basics.
No shortcuts, no credit card boosts, no Skywards status match. If you want elite, you’ll have to spend like elite.

Redeeming Points
Redemption Type | Notes |
---|---|
Free Nights | Starts around 40,000–60,000 points per night |
5th Night Free | For Gold and Platinum only |
Points + Cash | Available at many properties, but cash portion can be steep |
No blackout dates | But rates vary wildly |
You can also redeem for:
- Spa treatments
- Dining
- Gift vouchers
- Room upgrades
- That Burj Al Arab helipad photoshoot (yes, again)
Point value? It has not been clearly published, but when used well, expect it to land around 0.5p per point, similar to Marriott and Hilton.
Point Expiry
Jumeirah One Points expire after 24 months of inactivity. That means no earning, no redeeming = gone.
⚠ Transfers don’t count as activity – you’ll need to actually stay or redeem to keep your balance alive.
Transfer to Emirates Skywards
You can convert points to Emirates Skywards Miles at a 2:1 ratio. This is not great, but it’s handy for topping off a redemption. No minimum transfer amount is listed, but it’s best to do this in chunks of 20,000+ to make it worthwhile.
No option to transfer Emirates miles into Jumeirah One, though.
App & Booking Experience
The Jumeirah app is refreshingly slick:
- Book stays
- Track points and tier status
- View exclusive offers
- Display your digital card at check-in
It doesn’t try to be fancy – and that’s a good thing. Much more polished than you’d expect from a smaller chain.
Jumeirah One in a Nutshell
✅ Pros | ❌ Cons |
---|---|
Free breakfast at all tiers | Very high spend required for elite status |
Stylish properties in the UAE & Europe | Limited hotel footprint |
5th night free for elites | No elite fast tracks or credit card boosts |
Airport transfers & minibar perks for elites | No suite upgrades via points |
Signature redemptions (like helipad photoshoot!) | Points expire after 24 months of inactivity |
App is clean and works well | No published award chart or clear point value |
So… Is Jumeirah One Worth It?
If you’re a casual traveller staying once a year, Silver offers free breakfast and a few nice touches that make it worth signing up for.
If you’re pushing for Platinum? You’ll need to spend the equivalent of a Tesla Model 3. While the perks sparkle (airport transfers, upgraded minibar, Burj photoshoots), the loyalty journey is steep.
There’s plenty to love about the brand – but as a points programme, Jumeirah One is more glitz than a game-changer. Enjoy the views, soak up the service, and don’t lose sleep over status.
