And yes, adding them is completely free. There are no hidden fees, and no spending is required on the new card.
Who Can You Add?
Supplementary cardholders must be:
- 18+
- UK resident
- Someone you trust (because you’re legally responsible for all their spending)
They’ll get a Gold-coloured AMEX card (not metal, sorry bling-lovers) with their own card number, but all the rewards funnel into your Membership Rewards account. Lovely.
How to Get Your 6,000 Points
- Head to the special offer page on AMEX right here
- Click “Add a Cardmember”
- Log in, fill in their deets, and hit submit
Warning: You must use this exact page, or the bonus will not track stray elsewhere, and you could be waving goodbye to those points.
The bonus posts are in two lots of 3,000 points, so don’t worry; that’s expected.
Why Bother?
Besides free points, there are real perks:
