Updated April 2025 – because boutique doesn’t mean basic. Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) had a vibe for years. Think: chic villas in the Med, rainforest hideouts in Costa Rica, and wine estates in Provence. But loyalty? That was always a bit… loose. Now, with the launch of the new SLH Club and a fresh partnership with Hilton Honors, SLH is finally offering the kind of perks you’d expect from a luxury brand – and doing it with flair.

SLH Club: Not Just a Pretty Face (But Also That)
Launched in October 2024, SLH Club replaces the old, forgettable “INVITED” program. This time, they’re not just handing out late checkout and calling it loyalty.
Three Tiers of Boutique Benefits:
- Club 01 (entry-level): It’s free to join, and it gets you free Wi-Fi, a $50 hotel credit on your second stay, and a small room upgrade (subject to sweet-talking at the front desk).
- Club 02: Mid-tier magic. Think early check-in, late checkout, complimentary breakfast at select properties, and extra on-property credit.
- Club 03: Invite-only status with top-tier perks and one seriously fancy perk – an annual print edition of Swoon magazine (because sometimes Instagram just doesn’t cut it).
Plant Trees, Then Sleep in Them (Not Literally)
SLH has partnered with TreeNation to plant two trees every night you stay at an SLH hotel. And yes, they track your “forest” in the app. It’s sustainability with receipts – and we’re here for it.
The SLH App: Surprisingly Slick
The new SLH app, launched in October 2024, is actually good. Expect:
- Mobile check-in and checkout
- Direct bookings with loyalty benefits baked in
- Personalised trip planning and route guides
- Loyalty progress tracking (watch your tree count grow)
Say Hello to “Swoon” – SLH’s Digital Travel Mag
You know how some hotels leave a dusty old brochure on your nightstand? SLH said no thanks and gave us Swoon, a curated digital magazine full of travel trends, property spotlights, and designer content. Club 03 members even get a print edition mailed to them annually. Luxe, no?
The Hilton Honors Plot Twist
SLH dropped its previous tie-up with Hyatt in 2023 – and in a 2024 mic drop, it announced a new strategic partnership with Hilton. Here’s what it means for you:
What You Can Now Do:
- Book over 400 SLH properties directly on Hilton.com
- Earn and redeem Hilton Honors points on SLH stays.
- Enjoy elite perks like room upgrades, breakfast, and more (depending on your Honors tier)
Not all SLH hotels are part of the Hilton deal (some prefer to stay exclusive), but many now play nice with points.
What We Think
The new SLH Club isn’t just pretty packaging – it’s got substance. Between the loyalty tiers, environmental efforts, digital tools, and Hilton synergy, this once-niche program just became a major contender in the boutique luxury space.
So, if your idea of loyalty is more “Tuscan wine cellar” and less “chain hotel conference room,” this might be the one for you.
