Starting 27 June 2025, Air Canada is rolling out a brand-new seasonal route between Montreal (YUL) and Edinburgh (EDI). It’ll run three times a week until 7 September, giving flyers a direct hop from smoked meat to Scotch without enduring Heathrow’s chaos or Toronto’s “fun immigration line.

This transatlantic jaunt clocks in at 3,031 miles, making it a short but mighty crossing in the long-haul world.

Flight Schedule

You’ll be flying aboard the Boeing 737 Max 8, a single-aisle jet that’s definitely more practical than posh.

  • AC936 | YUL → EDI | Departs 21:50, arrives 09:15 (Mon, Thu, Sat)
  • Block time: 6h25m
  • AC937 | EDI → YUL | Departs 11:15, lands 13:35 (Tue, Fri, Sun)
  • Block time: 7h20m

Eastbound, you’ll snooze through a manageable six-ish hours overnight. Westbound, you’ll have a bit more daylight to contemplate the life choices that led you to fly 3,000 miles without a bed.

Cabin Configuration: No Suits Allowed

This one’s not for the flatbed crowd. The Max 8 is outfitted with:

  • 16 Premium Economy seats for slightly more bougie knees
  • 153 Economy seats for everyone else

No Business Class, no problem (maybe). It’s a no-frills experience – but hey, what you lose in champagne, you gain in directness.
