Things are getting lively in the London skies. Nigeria’s biggest carrier, Air Peace, is stepping up its international game with not one, but two new routes from Abuja to the UK, landing at both London Heathrow and London Gatwick. Because why settle for one London airport when you can conquer both?

Let’s break it down.

New Route 1: Abuja (ABV) – London Heathrow (LHR)

Starting 26 October 2025, Air Peace will launch three weekly flights between Abuja and London Heathrow, a major step for the airline’s UK ambitions.

Flight Info:

  • Outbound (ABV → LHR):
  • • Sat & Sun: Flight P47580 departs at 11:20, lands 16:30
  • • Friday: Departs at 11:50, lands at 17:00
  • Inbound (LHR → ABV):
  • • Fri, Sat & Sun: Flight P46581 departs at 21:10, arrives next day at 04:20+1

New Route 2: Abuja (ABV) – London Gatwick (LGW)

Just two days later, from 28 October 2025, you can also fly straight into London Gatwick, with another three flights per week.

Flight Info:

  • Outbound (ABV → LGW):
  • • Tue & Thu: Flight P47574 departs at 10:55, lands 16:05
  • • Wed: Departs at 11:00, lands at 16:10
  • Inbound (LGW → ABV):
  • Tue, Wed & Thu: Flight P4755 departs at 21:10, arrives next day at 04:20+1

What Plane, What Seats?

Air Peace will fly its Boeing 777-200ER on both routes a long-haul widebody with some interesting history (think ex-Emirates and Etihad aircraft). Up front, you’ll find angled-flat business class in a 2-2-2 layout, not the fanciest setup, but roomy enough for a daytime hop. Economy class runs a standard 3-3-3 layout, with more legroom than you’d expect and (sometimes) personal screens depending on which 777 you end up on. No direct aisle access in business, and don’t expect a BA-style Club Suite, but for a no-frills transcontinental ride? It does the job.

Here’s a video I’ve found of a full review of their aircraft.

The Bigger Picture

This move gives Air Peace a major boost in its transcontinental reach, especially with both Gatwick and Heathrow covered. It also means more options for travellers between Nigeria and the UK, especially for those looking to dodge Lagos traffic and fly directly from the capital.

Whether you’re Team Heathrow or Team Gatwick, one thing’s for sure: Air Peace isn’t playing small anymore. You can find their website here.
