Traveling around but want to stay connected? Try Saily!

Last week, we learned that JetBlue passengers flying in their ‘Mint’ business class from New York JFK Terminal 5 or Boston Logan International Airport Terminal C will soon have access to a new lounge before flying out. Will this change also happen across the pond to where JetBlue flies?

Let’s go over all this in detail.

JetBlue currently flies to 5 destinations in Europe

  1. London Heathrow and Gatwick
  2. Amsterdam
  3. Dublin
  4. Edinburgh
  5. Paris

From both JFK and Boston, as of now, passengers flying towards the states do not have access to a lounge even when flying in their ‘Mint’ business class, as JetBlue is a low-cost airline’ they don’t offer that kind of luxury… but given that they have now announced plans to open up not one but two new lounges in the states it remains to be seen how long it will take them to do the same here in the UK and in Europe too, for that matter, because in my opinion, you can’t do one without the other. So, I guess only time will tell, and I’ll be very excited about what they will come up with.

My JetBlue experience.

From what I remember, I only ever flew JetBlue once; funnily enough, I was meant to be in New York now flying Jetblue, where I wanted to review their business class product but had to cancel at the last minute. However, I did fly them last year; I flew in economy from Maimi to DCA in Washington, where we had one of the worst flights I can ever remember; due to a pilot error (a story for another day), we were delayed in Florida for a few hours due to terrible weather, and then our suitcase got lost which thankfully did end up getting delivered to our hotel where we stayed at. Still, I also know I can’t form an opinion based on these circumstances. Even though I had an awful experience, I still wanna try their premium product.

Anyway, back to our JetBlue lounge news…

Who can use the new JetBlue lounges?

I’ve compiled a list of the people who will be able to use the legs,

  • Transatlantic Mint passengers,
  • TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members,
  • Holders of a soon-to-be-released JetBlue credit card.
  • In addition, TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members and premium credit cardholders will also be allowed to bring one guest into the lounge at no extra cost.

Other things to note.

Nevertheless, if you don’t qualify for any of the options above, there’s no need to worry because JetBlue intends to sell day passes and guest passes; specific details regarding eligibility for these passes have yet to be disclosed.
