Some news this week at Edinburgh, Scotland’s airport: first, we saw Air Canada launching flights from Montreal to Edinburgh, and now, Scotland’s capital has just got a little comfier at 38,000 feet. Escape Lounges has officially made its Scottish debut with a brand-new space at Edinburgh Airport, and yes, it’s conveniently parked right next to the British Airways lounge at Gate 4 (because what’s an airport without a little lounge rivalry?).
Replacing what used to be an Aspire Lounge, this 135-seat bolthole is open daily from 4am to 10pm, giving early birds and late flyers a plush pit stop. If you book online, entry starts at £39.99, but saunter in last-minute and you’ll pay £49. Priority Pass and DragonPass holders, of course, get in with a casual wave of their card.

What’s Inside?
Expect the usual lounge trinity: work, relax, dine all ticked. There’s free Wi-Fi, power outlets aplenty, PressReader for your pre-flight flick-through and a menu that shifts from breakfast to all-day bites faster than a Ryanair boarding gate announcement.

Drinks? Think premium spirits, beers, and wines, both Scottish and international. (Yes, you can start your trip with a local dram. No judgement here.)
The interior design leans into Edinburgh’s green-and-sand palette inspired by the city’s leafy parks and iconic sandstone buildings. There are nods to the Old Town and Leith waterfront, too, for anyone who likes their lounges with a side of local culture.
Escape’s Airport Invasion Continues
This latest lounge joins a growing UK roster, hot on the heels of Escape’s refresh at East Midlands and an upcoming Bristol opening. Not a bad little expansion strategy from CAVU, Escape’s parent company (and Manchester Airport Group’s aviation brainchild).

CAVU’s Head of Growth, Rob Hassard, kept it smooth:
“We’re thrilled to be opening our newest Escape Lounge at Edinburgh Airport… an Escape to Remember, through exceptional food, service, and a beautifully designed lounge inspired by the local region.”
Time will tell if frequent flyers remember the lounge or the £49 walk-in fee.
