It’s like a whale of a good time around here! Just last week, I wrote about the Beluga coming to town; tomorrow, we are back at it again. Yup, you’ve read that right. The big Airbus Beluga, Airbus’s transporter, is expected to arrive at Heathrow again tomorrow, September 10. But why? Well, it’s coming to make a delivery.
So, back at the beginning of April, a Virgin Atlantic B789 collided with a British Airways Airbus A350-1000 with the Reg G-XWBC. The damage was so extensive that it couldn’t fly up until now. Meanwhile, BA was trying to figure out how to get the part it needed into Heathrow. There’s been a lot of discussion online for a while about whether we will see the Beluga coming to Heathrow or not. Now it’s officialāit’s coming, and here are the flight details.
The Beluga is expected to arrive at London Heathrow on September 10 at 11:20 a.m., operating with flight number BGA1350. Interestingly, it will also use the same flight number for the return, leaving the same day at 18:00 p.m. Of course, this is subject to change.
So how can one spot this magnificent beast arriving at Heathrow?
Well, first things first, we need to pray for a 27L arrival to get the best views unlike today, where we had an arrival on 27R. If you are considering becoming a pro plane spotter, check out our guide on plane spotting.
