Traveling around but want to stay connected? Try Saily!
As we all know, and for those of you who don’t, British Airways has got 3 tiers to its membership loyalty program, but today specifically will be focusing on the British Airways Bronze level, and the 3 tiers are,
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
Now, I’m not going to discuss the benefits of the various tiers; instead, I want to point out that the bronze membership tier offers nothing. There’s little to be excited about, and I’m here to give you my opinion, so do with that as you wish.
Here is what you are getting as a Bronze member.
- Free seat selection seven days before departure and exit row seats on long-haul flights
- Priority check-in, except at London City Airport
- Priority boarding at London City Airport
- Status freeze for Maternity/Paternity/Adoption
- Seven Avios per qualifying £ spent whenever you fly with British Airways or American Airlines and six Avios per qualifying euro with Iberia.
That’s it!
So, picture this: Y’all are excited to join the BAEC and start earning points, but then you realize that being a bronze member is as thrilling as watching paint dry. Why not jazz it up a bit, BAEC? I mean, come on, throw us bronze members a bone! And don’t even get me started on the blue level. I’m not asking for a red carpet rollout, but a little something to make it feel less “meh” would be nice. Maybe a bronze member can at least get a fancy luggage tag or a secret handshake with the flight attendants. Just saying, BAEC, take a page from Emirates and spice up that bronze life!
As I said before, this is my opinion of the British Airways Bronze level; I could be wrong. I’m also curious to hear your opinion on this, and whether you agree with me, so please comment in the section below.
