Encalm Privé lounge Location:
To get to the Encalm Privé lounge, you’ll need to stay on the ground floor and take the lift up. It is located on the 3rd level at DEL airport, not to be confused with the Encalm lounge.
Entrance:
The entrance to the walkway leading to the lounge is right next to the chemist or pharmacy. If you’re from the States, walk down and take the lift up. Once you’re up there, you’ll see the check-in desk and head straight in.
Main dining area:
As soon as you walk in, you’ll have the main dining area to your left and a smaller, quieter tables area to your right.
Encalm Privé lounge food/bar:
The bar is in the middle of the main dining room, and the food is towards the back of the dining room; as you can imagine, the food was outstanding.
Encalm Privé lounge seating:
This lounge, in particular, is open to showing its different kinds of seating areas, which I’ve found to be very good in terms of choice, from quieter zones to more working areas, and so on.
Encalm Privé lounge juice bar:
This lounge has a juice bar just after the main dining room, which is my first time seeing it. It was a hit with me. I loved the location (right next to the gym) and the idea of it as well.
Encalm Privé lounge gym:
The lounge also comes with a well-equipped gym, which also has its own lockers and showers (apart from the lounge showers, which I’ll cover below)
Encalm Privé lounge spa:
The one thing I could not quite figure out was the spa because there were two different kinds of rooms: first, located right behind the juice bar, which looked a bit like a salon spa, which looked to me like a foot massage room, and then separate rooms, the same ones you’d find in a regular spa. Either way, both of those rooms looked very well-kept and up to par.
Encalm Privé lounge showers:
As we have already established, there are showers in the gym and spa, and then you have the 4 lounge showers, 2 for men and 2 for women.
Sleeping pods:
There are 5 sleeping pods in this lounge, which is a pretty small room with a sleeping bed in it. However, the fact that you have to pay to use them is a bit ridiculous, as most lounges don’t require a bed anywhere else.
Smoking room:
Since I am a smoker, I always appreciate having a place where to smoke after security; this room is actually quite big, and given the strict rules about smoking in India in general, this was a great place to have a cigarette.
Gaming room:
At the end of the lounge, there’s a massive gaming room with a couple of big screens and a few gaming desks, which I thought was quite cool.
Encalm Privé lounge WiFi:
To use the Wi-Fi in this lounge, there is a machine, and this is how it works: You need to swipe your passport, and the machine will spit out a small piece of paper with a code. Once you enter the code, you will be connected to the lounge’s Wi-Fi.
Conclusion:
The lounge overall is perfect, not much criticism to say, except the kid’s play area was in the middle of the main dining area, which is not sure was the best utilisation in terms of space spicy when there’s a huge game room at the back which would’ve made more sense to put it there, paying for sleeping pods I don’t think is something to boast about either but apart from that this is definitely one of the better business class lounges I’ve come across especially after we saw such poor lounges like the one in Amritsar, or even in Goa.
